New postdoc: welcome Dr. Victor Valladolid-Onecha to the b-lab

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Victor Valladolid-Onecha has joined our lab as a postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Valladolid recently completed his Ph.D. at the prestigious Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, where he distinguished himself through academic excellence.
Dr. Valladolid-Onecha’s expertise in Monte Carlo techniques, especially for GPU implementation, and his fresh insights from his doctoral research will be invaluable in driving this project forward. His work at Universidad Complutense de Madrid has already laid a solid foundation for the innovative approaches we anticipate implementing in our research.

The reverse Monte Carlo SPECT reconstruction project is an NIH R21-funded project within the Informatics Technologies for Cancer Research (ITCR) program and expands our mission to explore the uses of radiation for cancer care. With Dr. Valladolid-Onecha’s contribution, we look forward to new breakthroughs and advancements in this field.
