About me: I am Zakiya Williams, a rising junior Physics major, Mathematics minor, at Howard University. I was born in Mississippi, near Jackson, and then moved to Maryland when I was 10. I am on the Computational Physics track in my program. I will be serving as the Vice President of Howard University’s chapter of Society of Physics Students for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. In my time away from Physics, I am an executive board member and competitive team member of the figure skating club at Howard. 

Research Interests: As I’m on the computational track in my physics program, I would like to see how that is applied to different branches of research. I have had an interest in the medical field in the past.
